Mirrored Reflections

There are times we misinterpret one another’s actions…..we receive what another is saying as a personal assessment, in fear of judgment. This fear of judgment IS NOT only a fear of BEing judged by another, but IS in fact, based upon our own SELF judging thoughts, thoughts taught to us through our experience of BEingness.

When we DO judge others, we are in fact, judging our SELVes. These judgments of others are based upon thoughts we have in regards to their BEhaviour in so much as it relates to SELF, consciously or otherwise.

For example, YOU may BEcome very agitated by another’s BEhaviour, which for the sake of this example, we shall say IS yelling. NOW, YOU may NOT BE ONE who yells often, so how DOes this reflect upon YOU, YOU may ask? How IS my agitation, my negative judgment of another’s BEhaviour, which I mySELF DO NOT engage within reflect a SELF Judgment???

First, when we DO NOT identify in any way with another’s BEhaviour, we DO NOT judge it, we either attempt to understand it, ignore it, or simply DO not notice it altogether.

Second, identifying with another’s BEhaviour DOes NOT necessitate that, that BEhaviour IS an EXACT mirrored reflection of yOUR own, as much as an implied reflection of tendencies that YOU have that YOU DO NOT like or, a trigger of a past experience that leads to thoughts of SELF that YOU DO NOT like.

Going back to our example, for ONE who never yells but IS agitated by another when they DO.

This can imply that the ONE agitated may NOT like aspects of SELF that are prone to anger and for each individual this obviously varies. What IS a display of anger to ONE may BE using specific body language movements, whilst to another, getting physically violent. This agitation to displays of anger of this kind – yelling, may also BE reMINDer of past experiences in which they were BEing yelled at, and this experience of so BEing yelled at had a negative affect upon their SELF Identity, making them feel “less than”.

Either way, the judgment, the negative based reACTion of another’s ACTions are in fact, personally based.

In fact, our judgment of another as either negative or positive IS in TRUTH, personally based ?

Here’s a little experiment YOU CAN TRY out in yOUR own life.

For ONE day, CHOOSE to NOT take ANYthing Personally.

In other words, no matter what someone may say, DO, even if and when specifically directing themSELVes to YOU, even when the subject matter of yOUR exchange IS YOU, CHOOSE to see how this individual IS actually speaking about themsSELVes.

In addition, when YOU are making assessments about other people’s BEhaviours, ESPECIALLY when YOU really, really, really like or dislike something {it’s easier the stronger the emotion to BE able to identify}, ask yOUR SELF WHY? Ask yOUR SELF what about what YOU are really, really liking or disliking resonates with YOU personally, what about another’s BEhaviours reMINDs YOU of some aspect of YOU, how IS this other person’s BEingness a reflection of YOU.

Judgments can BE Positive too, and not necessarily deep, complicated, or something YOU are healing.

For example, YOU may really, really like another individual’s athletic physique….why??? Why DO YOU judge this to BE a positive thing? BEcause their athletic physique speaks to someone who really enJOYs fitness, who IS themselves into BEing healthy, which YOU ARE, and so YOU are attracted positively to this aspect of their BEingness, YOU judge it as a GOOD thing. Someone else may NOT BE “into” health, and therefore would either not notice or not care about this individual’s athletic physique.

Thus, judgment in and of itSELF ALLways speaks more to the individual DOing the judging than the ONE BEing judged.
