GUIDED MEDITATION
Through meditation,
the Higher Self is experienced.Bhagavad Gita
Only you can make your mind beautiful. Dalai Lama
An exquisite methodology exists within the yoga tradition that is designed to reveal the interconnectedness of
every living thing. This fundamental unity is referred to as Advaita ~ which means non-dual or “not 2.” This oneness is a fundamental quality of everythi
Everything is a part of and made of one nondual consciousness
Meditation is the experience of this union. (link to videos – youtube)
Attention, the most primal form of love, is turned within to the only place life happens: the present moment. Mindfulness is simply paying attention to the present moment on purpose. “Mindfulness is the miracle by which we master and restore ourselves.” from Zen Master, Thich Nhat Hanh.
In the Yoga Sutras, Patanjali, ” the god-father of Yoga ” gives instruction on how to meditate and describes what factors constitute a meditation practice. The second sutra in the first chapter states that yoga ( or union ) happens when the mind becomes quiet. This ” mental stillness ” is created by bringing the body, mind, and senses into balance ~ in turn, relaxing the nervous system. Patanjali goes on to explain that meditation begins when we discover that our never-ending quest to possess things and our continual craving for pleasure and security can never be satisfied. When we finally realize this, our external quest turns inward, and we have shifted into the realm of meditation.
In the Yogic context, meditation, or Dhyana, is defined more specifically as a state of pure consciousness. It is the 7th limb of the Yogic path and follows Dharana, the art of concentration. Dhyana in turn precedes Samadhi, the state of final liberation or enlightenment, and the last step in Patanjali’s 8-limbed system.
( Ashtanga Yoga ) These 3 limbs ~ Dharana (concentration), Dhyana (meditation), and Samadhi (ecstasy) ~ are inextricably linked and collectively referred to as Samyama, the inner practice, or subtle discipline, of the Yogic path.
The first 4 limbs of Patanjali’s 8-limbed system ~ Yama ( ethics ), Niyama ( self-discipline ), Asana ( posture ), and Pranayama ( life-force extension ) ~ are considered external disciplines. The 5th step, Pratyahara represents the withdrawal of the senses. This withdrawal of the senses arises out of the practice of the first 4 steps and links the external to the internal. When we are grounded physically and mentally, we are keenly aware of our senses, yet disengaged at the same time. We foster this ability to remain detached yet observant, so that we may meditate, to ultimately evolve into an expanded state of awareness.
When we concentrate, we direct our mind toward what appears to be an object apart from ourselves. We become acquainted with this object and establish contact with it. To shift into the meditation realm, however, we need to become involved with this object; we need to communicate with it. The result of this exchange, of course, is a deep awareness that there is no difference between us (as the subject), and that which we meditate upon (the object). This brings us to the state of Samadhi, or self real~eyes’ation.
According to the Yoga Sutras, our pain and suffering is created by the misperception that we are separate from nature. The real~eyes’ation. that we aren’t separate may be experienced spontaneously, without effort. However, most of us need guidance. ???? (link to yoga)
Benefits of Meditation: ( only some of….. )
- improves sleep
- enhances immune response
- sharpens focus and concentration | clarifies thinking
- freedom from obsessive and indulgent negativity
- increases will power to follow our voice of namaste love’s grace
- increases learning capacity and memory
- lowers blood pressure and heart rate
- greatly enhances a sense of inner peace and well-being
- reduces blood lactate, a marker of stress and anxiety
Of course, it is equally important, nay ViTAL, that we real~eyes, whilst several ” standardized ” forms of meditation, meditation practice, and INstruction do exist, there is NONE that is ” The One ” right way or only way to accomplish this state of enLightened conscious awareness. In fact, as an intuitive guide light, Roni never channels the same meditation experience twice. She prefers to let go and let love guide her, based upon the energy she is sensing, from the souls and their Me’s gathered, in any specific S3 Guided Meditation Class, as she so does with any meditations she guides, whether they be in her Whole~istic Life Guidance Journeys, Yoga Classes, Reiki Healings, Ecstatic Dance, or our S3 Guided Meditation Classes.

Another equally ” vital mention ” with respect to Meditation Practice, and the ” right way ” of so doing and achieving, which again, there is no one ” right way “, is that meditation is NOT restricted to sitting still in a structured class, system, or process. So….for those prone to ” hyper ACTivity ” by biology, fret not, there IS a meditation journey that is just purrrfect for your Me !!!! Nor by the way, is it about “stilling the mind”, per se, in the most literal of translations, which is, in raw truth, impossible. Ponder here upon…..those we would consider to be the most adept meditators, let’s say Monks living high in the secluded mountains, sitting for hours in stillness, in meditation, are doing so by doing what ? They focus their minds upon their breathing, or repeat mantras, or allow what is wanting to ” show through ” to be seen, observed, etc …. The mind or consciousness is remains ” active ” or ” on ” — as existence is energy, and energy never dies ????️. The ” trick ” or ” grand accomplishment of meditation is NOT to ” still the mind “, per se, but to still the judgements we have of the thoughts and feelings that stream through one’s mind. Let us pause here a moment to let that sink in.
Meditation is a real~eyes’ation that we foster into our integrated beingness, which recognizes that no thought or e~motion ( energy in motion ) that comes into and flows through our mind — even those in our own voice, even when secluded from the rest of the world, even when so specifically detailed and deeply felt, moving, and triggering — are in fact true-ly our own, unless…….. and until………… we CONSCIOUSLY CHOOSE to own them. Shall we give our Me & Soul a moment’s pause again here ?
Meditation gifts us the ability to wield this, our greatest of divine gifts we each have, our Free Will, to make this a conscious choice, with our every breath, regarding every single thought and e~motion that streams through our focussed attention // consciousness. Which means ??? We get to choose those thoughts and emotions that are of Namaste Love’s Grace exclusively, if we so choose. Which means, we get to choose to own ONLY thoughts and emotions that make us feel GOOD, that serve our highest happyness, greatest good, and optimal homeostasis.
We should definitely take a moment of pause here !!!! ???? ???????? ☺️
Real~eyes’ing this, owning this, we come to know that ANYthing and EVERYthing that one engages within can become a living, breathing meditation. This is, by the way, ” Roni’s way ” of experiencing meditation in her own personal practice, ……
Life,…. as a Living Meditation.
